As the only island in the Whitsundays with its own commercial airport, Hamilton Island is one of Australia's most accessible island destinations.
Fly Direct to Hamilton Island
Hamilton Island is the only Whitsunday island with its own commercial airport, offering direct flights from several major Australian cities. Once you land, you're only minutes from your accommodation, with complimentary airport transfers available for HIHA guests.

Ferry Transfers
If you're travelling via the mainland, regular passenger ferries operate between Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island throughout the day.
Ferries depart from Port of Airlie and selected services also operate via Shute Harbour, offering a comfortable journey across the Whitsundays.
The ferry journey takes approximately:
